And I still have a hole in my heart. I wouldn't be in such a position if my baby were still around. This WAS my future broodmare. Only I was aiming for pleasure and halter with this one.

That is a level back. That is the back I'm looking for and the ONLY level back I've seen on a QH or Paint.
I use her picture as a reference on my studs. The closer to her back, the better.

LP, of all the horses posted, I do think that the one you just posted is my favorite.
I'm no expert though, but good luck with whatever you choose.
Babe is a gorgeous mare, I would have no doubts as to whether she could throw a nice baby or not!

Ok... Im going to say something about this. That photo of that baby is ONE not standing square and 2 it's a foal. 2nd. EVERY horse has some type of issue with conformation. Breeding to an uphill horse MAY cause the foal to balance out, it may not. And HONESTLY.... HONESTLY... if the stud is 1" difference between front and back in being down hill, but otherwise complements the mare then you need to look at that stud long and hard. There's absolutely NO guarantee that your crossing her with a TB will even give you the slightest leg up on the speed as opposed to breeding to a consistant line of barrel producing studs like the Firewater Flits or the Dash For Cash, or the Snazzy Hanks.

I will commend you on wanting to breed a top foal, but you also have to be realistic. What if a stud DOESN'T pass on his uphill conformation? And personally, I'd go with a proven stallion before I went with something that's never run a day in his life on barrels.

Wow! He is a stunner! I don't know anything much about speed lines in Quarter Horses, but he is beautiful. That site has some nice stallions, but he's the one that drew my eye immediately.

Oh, and your Whisper was just beautiful. So sorry for your loss.

The only thing I don't like about him is his hip. He needs a lot more of it but the rest looks good.
