Thoroughbred Mare needs home ASAP!

A guy John works with has asked me to find someone to come and take his horse. He wants her gone Wednesday or Thursday evening if possible. He said she is chasing his cattle and he has calves on the way that he doesn't want her to hurt... and he has no way to separate her from the cows.

She is a 10-12 year old OTTB, 16-17hh. She was raced but then had an injury so was retired. He said she is very flighty but will come up for feed. He said she hasn't really been handled for a few years.

He is in Aurora, Indiana... about 30 minutes from Cincinnati. No offer will be refused, he said just come get her ASAP.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll put you in contact with the owner. I don't have any pics of her.

JUST AN EDIT TO THE ORIGINAL POST:

John went to see the horse a little while ago to try and take pictures. He was unable to get pictures with his cell phone because the horse was too far away. But he said the horse is a GELDING, NOT A MARE. He said he is absolutely gorgeous, chestnut with some white. And he said the horse runs a lot, lol.

Again, if anyone is interested please contact me ASAP!

We're going to try and go tomorrow evening to get pictures. This is extremely urgent, John said the owner told him that if he's not gone before the weekend he will shoot him.

I really don't know much, just what I posted earlier. Basically the horse has been turned out to pasture for several years and fed but not handled at all. If approached he runs away. They said he's very high strung. I'm just going on what the owner has said, I'll have more info after I actually see the horse. I'll post whatever I find out tomorrow.

ok... let me know what you find.
If he's a workable horse I may take him...
I like the age... and love geldings.
but I'm not able to house an injured horse.

The injury was a long time ago... like 6 or 7 years ago, when the horse was very young. It's healed now and whatever it was causes him no problems. John said when he was out there the horse was running and playing and looked very sound.

Oh, and the guy did say that the horse used to be ridden but they haven't tried because the only person who is interested in riding is his 8 year old daughter and they said the horse is too tall for her.
