Thanx HalterGirl! I went out to wal-mart and bought a pair of thinning shears for $5 LOL! I have one more question though, when your using the shears at an angle, do you close the shears all the way or only half way? Like only using the back end of the shears? It seems like if id close the shears all the way at an angle wouldnt it cut it at an angle? Thanx again, im planning on doing my colts mane tomorrow!

Could you do a step-by-step guide on braiding rosette style and/or attaching a false tail. I would love you for that.:-)

When you're cutting only go at a slight angle, just enough so that it's not exactly straight across. Completely close the scissors each time. It's the slight unevenness of the bottom of the mane that makes it thinner and lay down. When it's straight and all even that's what makes it bushy.

I don't do english so I can't show braids, and I would gladly show you how to do a fake tail but my camera had an accident the other day and is out of commission for a while.

Thanx HalterGirl! It worked great! Much better than last year! Luckily, its a ways untill show season, today was just a practice, now i can just trim it up every now and then. I made it a little shorter than i wanted it, but it'll grow! Thanx again! Heres a few pics

BEFORE

AFTER

His mane is really thick, and poofy, so its not laying real flat towards the top, but i braided it up and hopeuflly it'll lay flat when i take them out.
