That is a nasty looking cut but I think it will heal well under your expert care!

He sure is cute Makes you wonder about people, tho, doesn't it?

Combine with his other ankle bracelet amkes me think about barbed wire cuts - speshully if he was an unauthorized resident and under the care of 2 chemically impaired airheads.

May God bless you greatly for all your rescue efforts on behalf of His innocent ones!

I actually have 2 buckskin mares here, but unfortunately neither of them are "boyfriend broke", and one of them is here permanently. The other one is cold back, but won't be available for adoption for almost a year(long story on that one). Neither one is 15 hands either. 14-14 1/2 hands. But, I'll keep my eyes open for you!

As soon as he healed up and castrated, he'll be available for adoption if anyone is interested.

He is very nice looking. Sorry i didn't read all of the post, so here is a question that you may have already answered. What do you think his chances of being sound later in life will be? I will talk to my wife about him, we may be interested in him.

Hes not lame on that leg at all. I know that maybe hard to believe but I personally have no doubt that he will be totally sound when were done with him. Hes gonna have some scarring to what degree time will tell. Hes didn't rip anything but meat so that was a good thing! The other leg does have white from an old injury. Bobwire my best guess! Hes actually cute and not bad looking. And for a stud hes not been bad mannered either. Other then cow kicking which it's got to hurt and me trying to scrub and put meds on it and saying that hes not kicking to kick my head off either. Hes stands still for IV's, shots and takes wormer well. Hes been really good considering! I feel sorry for the guy! He will be awesome as a gelding. Confo wise not bad. He's longer backed then I like but not bad. Hes got nices legs and feet! No hoof No horse! Thats all I kept telling myself when I rescued Moonshine. Gads his never ended vet bills are killin me! My farrier says if we could put his feet on my 2 yr old filly we'd be okay!
I bet this colt will be ready to rehome in a month or so give or take. We have other yrlgs here too! Zoose is gonna make someone a really nice cow horse! Hes sire is an appy halter horse and his dam is foundation QH and bred well. Hes built like a tank! Easy keeper to boot. Gots crome too! My husband loves him but he can't have him I said so! I have 3 yrlgs 2 fillies are cutting bred reg. They just needed groceries and are gaining wonderfully. Shelly's got another reg filly thats Goldfingers nothing wrong with Big Booty Judy! Shes so gentle she would make a good 4-h project for someone. Also your always welcome to vet check with your vet! I don't know where exactly your at in OK but my trusted equine vet is in OK too!
