the REAL pessoa training system vs. imitations??

im searching for one to use on my mare. as i was looking i came up on an article about how dangerous the imitaions can be .. is this true??? ive only ever used a real pessoa before so i wouldnt know nething about the imitaions .. but unfortuantly i just moved farms and theres no pessoa at my new one .. and i need it but i dont have 100+ dollars for it. i would rather not use one at all if its gona hurt my mare.

does anyone know anything about the difference?
any suggestions where i could get one that is gona help .. not hurt??

Why do you need one? Has your mare got some problem? Why not tell us about it?

I find the problem with using gadgets is that the horse looks pretty and appears to be working well whilst they are on.

Take them off - and you're back to square one. It's the gadget that's working - not you or the horse.

Surely it's better to work on the problem without artificial aids. That way you learn how to correct evasions yourself, you and your horse begin to work together.

It'll take a bit longer to get that pretty picture, but once you've learnt - it's with you for ever.

I use a pessoa on my horses and if used correctly I think there a good training aid. I haven’t seen any of these imitations of the pessoa. Could you post the link to the article?

i use a pessoa cause i am not able to ride my horse at the momment(long story .. shes perfectly fine .. its like a punishment to me .. my partents said i couldnt) .. but i need to keep her in shape .. and i dont want to just lunge her .. i want her to keep her muscle .. and used it before cuase idk about other horses, it helped her alot. she stays in the frame a pessoa puts the horse in even when i just ride her .. maybe im just lucky tho .. idk ..

I know someone who used a Kincade lunging system and their horses have been working well in it.
