Honestly you'd be best just to ignore them. Girls tend to get just plain mean in middle school, and the type of reaction you're giving them (violence and anger) is just going to end up getting you in trouble. Sometimes you have to be the more mature one and not let them provoke you. I'm not saying not to stand up for yourself, but you have to learn to control your reactions and keep them mature and appropriate. I was the "weird horse girl" in middle school too. I know that people can just be rude and make remarks that are ridiculous and uncalled for, but like others have said, sometimes you just have to ignore things and let them roll off your back. Try to be more mature than they are and not give them the reaction they're looking for.

Ignore them? People are nuts, if someone is hurting you physically you need to tell someone, a principal or something. Yes, ignore them for their words, but not their actions. Just don't do it back to them, there is self-defense and assault. People can still charge a minor.

Just stick it out til high school girly. Trust me, none of that goes on. Once you get there, everyone pretty much accepts everyone.. No one worries about cliques or anything anymore. It's nice.

Middle school is hard. Cliques are SO important to everyone. Those girls are just doing what preteen girls do. Seriously, just ignore them. As others have said, they are looking to get a rise out of you.

I agree I was the weird one too, but I think most horse girls start offf weird then grow out of it...now I have lots of older friends that are alot of fun to hang out with that do not go to my school(Not many people ride horses at my school if they do their middle schoolers [my school is k-12 were really small!!]). I just played the "cowboy" part in (end) of middle school and in highschool and people do not mess with me, I do not talk unless I think before and I have something to say, if people called me names or messed with me I simply smiled and said "if that is what you think then what ever" and they quit becuase they did not get a reaction out of me and they got annoyed. Also I was extremely nice to people who were mean to me, I gave them complents nicely then they just stop becuase they look bad to the publics eye.

when i say this, i'll probably get chewed back by the adults, but they're not even supposed to be here

i personally would keep going-only if they did something to you, fight back harder-who cares if they're soo incredibly popular-someone has to challenge them sometime, and it might as well be you(plus then lots of ppl will look to you-there are more unpopular than popular, and anything's possible) it will either shock them, or make them dislike you more-either way, whatever happens, you've done what you can. and nobody say stuff like that only happens in movies-that's sooo not true-it's happened many times over-it just takes a strong enough person.

that's just the way i was raised-whatever you think will have the best outcome, hope it all works out in any case, when you get to high school, they'll all be at the bottom of the barrel, so they can just have it

Just ignore it. If they see that it doesn't bother you, they'll stop.
