oy, did we have to go here?

at present count (and I counted yesterday ) I have 22 saddles. That includes the goofy ones too, like a saddle seat and a western saddle a friend gave me, etc... and I *am* in the process of selling 3 or 4... and I have a few floating around with friends out there.... but yeah, I have a few. And I only have one rideable horse.

I have about 12 bridles (I only use 2), probably around 10 bits (I only use 3), a driving harness, a surcingle (actually thats on loan to me!), an enormous stack of pads and a fist full of whips.

amazingly, I'm not a halter or lead junky, and I never use polos I've got 2 breakaway halters per horse, and my favorite rope halter that I use 99.9% of the time. I don't buy shipping boots or lots of blankets. I've got 4 per horse, 2 sheets and a heavy weight, and a cooler for each horse.

I am a haynet freak and have like a dozen and I'm a rasp hoarder and have at least a dozen of those too. I also have to have every ointment known to man.

Now, do I say some hail marys or something?

I've actually lessened the load a bit from what I had.
I have: 2 horses...
2 English Saddles
1 Western (I might add that I DON'T ride Western, just thought it would be nice to have for a trail ride).
3 Bridles
5 girths
3 martingales (2 standing, 1 running)
I don't even want to think about how many saddle pads i have.
I have a trunk full of bits... funny thing is I found out my horse needs to go in a hackamore... so all of those bits I bought I won't ever use!
About 10 sets of Polos
3 sets of open front boots
3 half pads.
Both horses have 2 stable sheets, TO sheet, MW TO blanket, HW TO blanket, HW stable blanket, Cooler, Skrim and 1 has a rain blanket.
Each have a breakaway barn halter and a leather shipping/show halter. With their own leadlines.
1 rope halter that was used 2x
2 sets of pillow wraps
2 sets of standing wraps
2 sets of nobo wraps
3 crops
1 surcingle, 1 lunge line

It's reached a point where I go to a tack shop and really can't find anything I "need" however I rarely go home empty handed.

And on my end, those sox trot boot socks... I have about 4 dozen... not lying!

I like to put it this way, "I have everything I need, I am now just finding what I want"

OMG I was hoping I wasn't alone LMAO.

God --- two tack sheds full of **** - -- I mean stuff heeehee
A large tool bin that I took from hubby- full. Several large bags and boxes --stuffed full. Two other smaller tack boxes -- full. Some tack stored in my sister in laws tack shed too LOL

I bought tack LOTS -as in a set price for a bunch of tack - and just figured what I didn't use - I may someday use (snicker)

I actually got rid of two saddles but one of those was traded for yet another Aussie saddle so really I only got rid of one saddle and then bought an Icelandic saddle because boy was it kewl looking.
So really I didn't get rid of any saddles as I still have the same number -- again.
I don't even own an Icelandic (but hey I may someday!)

I have tons of all kinds of bits- a lot that I would NEVER ever use in a horses mouth. We ride in bosals LMAO

Ah the life of a tackaholic. heehee

My SO collects bits, the weirder, the better.

And yes, I live the life too--though I'm getting better at selling stuff off. I mostly am a saddle pad addict.

For ONE horse I have:
2 saddles, 1 bareback pad
4 bridles, with about 3 extra sets of reins
around 6 bits
NINE sheets/blankets *gasp*- 2 fly sheets, 2 mw turnouts, 1 hw, 1 sheet, 2 coolers, 1 lw turnout
too many saddle pads to count (only 2 half pads though!)
at least 7 full (front and back) sets of boots- splints, open fronts, dressage, cross country, etc
3 prs bell boots
2 extra sets of stirrup leathers
6 girths (what the heck?!)
3 breastcollars
3 lunge lines

pretty much only one of everything else.

Today I almost bought a saddle pad because it was about 40cm by 30cm and designed for a shetland pony. Cutest saddle pad ever
