![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Tex Tan Hereford - added pics to post 4
Ok, so I have this saddle sitting in my living room. It's a Tex Tan Hereford the numbers on the fender read 694 on top and then 109 8784 below it. I tried a search and couldn't find anything. If it helps, it's an older saddle with buckstitching and an equitation style seat. If anyone can find/has info on it that would be great. Thanks. Saranna ETA: Info as in year, value, etc.

Call Tex Tan, they will answer you in a heartbeat. The numbers on top are the model number, the longer number tells you when it was made and then a serial number. On mine, the first part of the second number is 55 and they told me it was made in May 1975, so maybe yours is October 1979? Just a guess!

Here's a couple pics of the saddle. I'm still waiting for an answer from Tex Tan (I e-mailed them cause they were closed, but I e-mailed like 4 days ago) so still, if anyone can find info on those numbers it'd be great Saranna ![]()

Nope, totally cruddy. You should just give it to me to be rid of it, lol. Really though, it's a nice looking saddle. I would guess 1960s or 1970s for the time period it was built. It's worth $300-400, but right now, in our current saddle market, I'd expect it to sell for $250-300.
