Then you've just simplified things - replace the grain with the RB and keep the hay

In the next couple of weeks we will take them off pasture and give them the Born to Win for breakfast and let them have free choice hay during the day. Then we will bring them in at night and give the BTW for dinner with a few flakes of hay.
sounds perfect

Any way that was probably more information then you needed, but I guess were i was going is that adding calories probably wont be a problem, the problem will be keeping them from gaining too much weight.
Hardly such a thing as too much information when it comes to feeding questions

How do I tell if this is the case with Born to Win?
You'd have to look at the list of ingredients to see if things like lactobacillus are present.

Born to Win does not contain probiotics (which is what Fastrac is). So you can keep that in the diet. Though for some horses you might find that with the feed change, they will 'self regulate' quite well without them now that they're not receiving grain in their diet. Some horses might still need help though. Really all comes down to why they needed them in the first place.

Whether you need to increase hay or not depends on how much you're currently feeding. From what you've described, then likely you'll be just fine keeping it how it is.
