Tallest horse

I was wondering, what's the tallest horse you've ever met?
The tallest i've ever seen is a 19hh Vaulting horse at my sister's vaulting comp. He was huge!

uh... 18.1 shire! i rode her, WOW! i nearly died looking at the ground! (and then i was looking sideways and she walked under a tree and yeah...

One time I met a 19 hand shire. But I just got a 17.2 hand tall tbx shire. He is HUGE. When him and my 14.3 hand mare are out in pasture they almost look like father and daughter if I didn't know any better.

A guy that goes to one of the local fairs we attend has a Belgian that is between 20 and 21 hands...I don't remember the exact height but I know it's more than 20 but less than 21. This guy is HUGE!! He is always stalled across the aisle from Swayze. The entire time this horse is at the fair he can't lay down at all since everyone is in standing tie stalls. Poor guy. But anyway, that's the biggest horse I've ever met.

I recently read another thread on some other random board where people started saying they had seen horses or knew horses that were 23 hands or even 31 hands tall. yeah. right.

the tallest horse, according to the guiness book of world records, is Goliath, a 19.1 hand percheron in Texas:

a 20.1hh Belgian Mare!!! and then the other 2 were 19.3hh; *edited to ad- we measured them while i was out there....vet even measured them too*
after that it would be a 17.2hh TB gelding (unless my trainer's Hano gelding and Olden. mares are bigger than that-they're HUGE but im not exactly sure HOW tall!)
