Don't bother with that...they fall out in a hour or so. I have lost so many of those! LOL I bought one that you have to braid it and it is WONDERFUL! I leave it in for about a week at a time, then take it out, condition it, comb it out gently and re-wrap it.

i was thinking if you braid the tail starting from the bottom of the tail bone and band the end... you could put the braid in the bag , open a "hole" in the top of the braid and weave and tie it into the braid... would that work?

Im with ya cowgirlup! As an appy owner you must protect the tail LOL, and I have tried all the tail wraps in the world. The only ones that work for me are the ones you braid in.

I have NO luck w/ the braid in ones. I just use the regular ones. I go through tailbags like CRAZY! I leave my horses' tails braided and in a tailbag all winter. I might take them out and comb through them once or twice during the whole winter. My horses' tails grow at least 3 inches. If you comb them out every day/week, you tear the hairs and it makes the tail weaker and thinner. Comb them as little as possible if you're looking for a major hair growth.

If you're like me, I always seem to aquire horses w/ short tails, and I like LONG tals
