Swollen front legs?

I noticed that my small 4yrs araban/qh gelding was getting a little swollen on both front legs (on the inside of the leg which I believe is the tendon area) after a ride or being out at pasture where he would run all the time but it would go away after a couple days (I would also hose them with cold water). Even though his front legs were a bit swollen he never favored the legs at all and pretty much acted like his usally self, running around, etc. I then got him bell boots after noticing he was clipping himself with his back legs and that seemed to solve the problem. Yesterday I rode him with his bell boots on and today I noticed only one of his front legs this time was a little swollen in the same way but not as bad as he usually would be. Any ideas on what is going on? Do you think I should get him some front leg wraps/boots?

I only put his bell boots on when I am riding him. He is a very hyper horse and I am always finding him running around his corral (48x48 sized corral). He also has a thing for doing roll-backs, spins, and, his favorite, running fast and doing skid stops right before coming to the fence, over and over. I am not sure if he did any of this last night so it might be because of that or the riding the day before. ...should I have another pair and keep them on all the time even in his corral? Would that be safe to keep boots on him all the time? Thanks

bell boots are def safe to keep on at all times, i use them for my gelding bc he forges alot, meaning he reaches up and clips himself or mostly pulls his front shoes off, and it really seems to help. So if the bell boots were helping ur horse i would suggest putting them back on and leaving them on, it def wont hurt him.

its probably just from having alot of strain, then sitting is what it sounds like, i would keep bells on him if he clips, and maybe when hes being ridden invest in some boots/polos.

luckily, its not been nesescary for me to be a swolen leg genious but to me it sounds superficial and not too serious, other then his own playfullness is he ridden hard?
