The metal shedding blades are a two sided deal. The flat side can be used as a sweat scraper, the sharp side is a shedding blade. I usually take the flat side to my horse to bring off the water, then use the sharp side lightly to bring off loose hair, and lay the hair.

I always sweat scrape too

I actually have an aluminum sweat scraper... dont know why I bought it... but everytime I use it, it seems so much harsher than the plastic ones...

Yeah... I didn't post pictures though since they are the same as the plastic ones, just metal.

Always...
Especially in the winter, when I hunt. The horses get dripping with sweat and I have to sponge them off with warm water, otherwise the sweat just cools and they get cold. So I sponge them down, scrape off the excess and pile on the blankets.

And I always do in the summer after hosing or bathing.
