Talking SuzieQuzie jumping Kai for the first time! *pictures and video*

Edit: This is probably Kai's 10th time jumping, so he is still a little silly and wobbly. Also a brand new saddle, which is why Suzie's legs slipped a tiny bit (nowhere near mine!).

I put this in training to show how well he is coming along in his training, since in an earlier thread Suzie offered to come help me train him- and I'm so glad she did!

Hopefully there will be an update soon

the one thing that really points out to me is the LEGS they are way to far back for that height, also in some of them you need to sit back into the saddle more and not sit up in your stirrups as much and keep your heels down that will give you much more stability
but great riding for the first time on that horse
P.S the horse is GORGOUS lucky you

I notice that going over and for the landing she gets left behind and then she sits on her butt before he has landed because she got left and tried to fix it.

But he looks really good. Good job!

New saddle. Very, very slippery new saddle that didn't allow myself to keep my position very well.

Agreed with Suzie- BRAND new saddle- first time it was on him ever - so it was a bit slippery!!

But Kai is also new to jumping so he jumps very strangely sometimes- she looks better than anyone else who has jumped him!

Again, new slippery saddle- if you watch the Suzie jumping Ed video you can see she has an excellent position when the horse isn't jumping all over the place .

I think when he gets the hang of it he is going to be quite a powerhouse of a jumper. He has such a great front end for being so green. Congrats on how far he's come. Good juob with him Suzie.

PS - beeswax on that saddle! That'll help sticky it up a bit!
