Suri Under Saddle - Day One

So I was bored and decided to ride Suri for the VERY first time! It was her first time ever and my first time in the saddle in months so go easy on us (especially me because I haven't ridden seriously in years - just hopped on for a minute here and there, so feel free to give me constructive critism on my form and position, etc.). Dad has been complaining that we needed to get her started, so he left for vacation and I am going to surprise him when he gets home! So give me tips and advice to really impress him when he gets home!

you look like your being punished up there! relax! haha. I dont do western so thats the only critique I have is that you look stiff as a bored! She is GORGEOUS oh my.

Thanks! And I will take that into serious consideration.....but being as that was the first few minutes she has ever had a rider I was kind of bracing myself to get thrown! I have heard that her bloodlines can be real bronc-y....but she really did not seem to mind at all. But I still didn't want to relax too much right off the bat!

Wow, she wasnt to difficult to break huh?She a good minded little girl isnt she.You look awesome up there, a little stiff but thats expected on a young unpredictable one. Also toes up

Other than that awesome pics, awesome ride! She looks wonderful undersaddle

BTW-Her head is absolutely adorable!

You two look stunning. I agree with the other posters, toes to the sky! Other than that you look pretty good up there.

That gorgeous girl looks like she is one of the "born broke" ones. I think you look great on her. She's getting prettier if that's possible.

This was really and truly the very first time on her back. I was mighty proud of her. I only stayed on her for about a half hour...if that. And she was very willing. We even ended the session with backing up and she did it like a pro.

Toes up - got it. Tomorrow's pictures will show them looking at the clouds...lmao.

How much do I want for her? I have a sale pending at $1000, a price that was given out before she proved she was a superstar under saddle...lol.

She looks very relaxed and level headed, but I can totally see what you mean for the first ride jitters. Hope shes an easy one for you! Im still drooling over her color.

Wow, she's grown since I last saw any photo's of her! As a baby she showed great potential, however as a big girl... wow.

I would say that $1000 is more than reasonable.
