You can use Desitin diaper rash ointment or I have used Baby Faces Sunscreen for infants too, remember to reapply as they do sweat it off.

My vet and trainer said regular human sunscreen would be fine. My horse has a pick nose that gets burnt in the summer so I have to put it on her...

Yep, use Zinc Oxide (desitin) to relieve it. Also put on sunscreen and put on a flymask with a nose sheild. Those work great!

Cashel makes a flymask that I use on my bald faced paint mare that extends down past the nose.

you can even use an old dishtowel and attach it to the flymask to protect the nose.

If it is already burnt you can put on Aloe, but to prevent burns normal human sunscreen works good.

I use regular baby sunscreen on tip of her nose. it does help to keep them from getting sunburned. my horse hates it , but it works.
