I just got some patterns from Suitability. (I got a few - breeches, western blouse, hunt coat, blanket). I have made the breeches a few times but they don't fit as nice as boughten ones do. What am I doing wrong?! I measured and I cover a whole range of sizes. My calf is 15" and my ankles are a few sizes smaller than the battern goes. The gold ones I made recently kind of fit. Do you think buying a pair of breeches and cutting them up would be easier? Now I'm making the blouse and I have the same problem. Let me know if anyone has suggestions or has any patterns for sale. Please? M. |
