Studs.

Iron Spring Farm sent me an information package on thier stallions, it was VERY professional. It came in a folder with beautiful full page pictures and a DVD, I must say...I was impressed with the professionalism/layout and quality of the information package.

I "thought" I had my mind set on a coloured warmblood (and I may still) but I was QUITE impressed with the movement of a few of their stallions. Not all, but 2 really stood out. Contango and Rampal. If I was to pick one tho, it would be Rampal and here is the link to him.

You should see him move. WOW, TOP level dressage horse and it shows. Im going to watch the video again that Buggywhip sent tonight with my hubby..this is HARD to decide.....anyway...tell me what you think of him.

I have LOVED thatfarm for like, ever! LOL I LOVED Roemer... But now they seem to me like they keep adding and adding and adding...lol too many studs ya know? They never used to have friesians and now they do, that part is okay I like diversity. They ARE a very professional seeming place but something I would consider is their scoring. I mean, I know you will be comparing video's and such but take into consideration the scores they recieved on their stalllion testing....

Aren't all their stallions positive for something like 'EVA' or something ( I can't remember the name of it)...

Some are, yes Steph. I don't believe they all are though but I haven't checked in some time!

Well I think I heard that the majority are.. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I'm guessing it's not a good thing!

You know S_T I think that with all this stud indecision you are having, your mare is going to tell you where to go and just jump the fence to meet up with the first one she sees. Boy you may be in for a surprise !! LOL

LOL DL, this is such a HARD thing to decide, I really had no idea......she better not jump the fence and do her own thing, I think the ONLY stallion on the coast right now is a donkey! LMAO!

You are refering to EVA and I gave S_T a link to the problems associated with it. It has nothing to do with two positives and is usually transmitted by the stud but not always so.
