hi i have a 20month old very strong horse carnt get her to stay atill on the lead when you do she stomps her hoffs pluse how do i get her out of the nibbling at me stage much help would be great cheers |

your post was nearly impossible to read but it sounds like your horse is disrespectful. Look at sending him to a trainer or finding one to work with you, it will only get worse with time.

You have to make sure she knows who is boss. If she won;t stay still while on the lead then give the lead a sharp tug. If she is stomping her hooves then say "stop" or "no" in a stern voice as a warning, if she persists then a light smack on her chest should let her know that this kind of behaviour is inappropriate. Same with the biting/nibbling. That is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE and will only get worse if you don't reprimand her and let her know it's wrong. You have to make sure she knows YOU are the boss and don;t let her get away with bad behaviour like that. It's good that you are trying to fix this now while she is still relatively young |
