Storing Winter Blankets for the Summer

So I washed all of Cat and Minot's blankets on Friday and hung them out to dry on the deck. Now that they are all clean and dry, I was wondering how I should store them during the summer so that they stay clean. I was thinking of just folding them up and putting them in a Rubbermaid tub or something similar. I would probably keep the tub in the basement.

Would this work? How do you guys store your winter blankets? Thanks!

Most people have good luck with rubbermaids.

The plastic zip bags that comforters come it work really well too.

I have a industrial heat sealer so I heat seal mine in airtight/bug-proof bags.

All mine are overflowing from a Lawn mowing box in my "box room" that serves as a indoor tack room :P

As long as you don't have mice in your house they should be fine!

Comforter bags are a God send -- all of mine are in the 'Space Saver' bags with the air sucked out of them and then placed in a Rubbermaid container with mothballs in the bottom 'just in case'
