Still need a show name for Lenny...

Title says it all really. approx 11.2hh gelding needs a show name asap. No info on sire or dams names. All help and ideas appreciated, the more the better. Would love it if it had "Len" or "Lenny" in it somewhere, as either a word or part of a word (such as caLENdar or chalLENge), but not vital.

is he for your daughter or son? If he is why dont you let them think of a name. It would be fun for them to think about all the differnent names they can call him. And then get them to write down there top ten and then you can help pick which one is the best, but its up too you

No names but he's a cute little fellow. Definitely Welsh blood in there that's for sure.

Edit to ad.. Just curious, would he qualify for M&M shows?

Yes he is coming partly as company for my mare and partly for my daughter to ride - a sort of '2 birds with 1 stone' deal. Hmm, I will look out her list and post them here later - then you'll see why I'm asking for outside input too

Yep, he's Welsh A cross Shetland, apparantly. His owner was given him by a friend of hers (who bred him) as a 'play pony' for one of her sons but he has just sat in a field apart from when my daughter (and myself, obviously) have worked with him. His owner asked his breeding but was only interested in what breeds so has never asked for actual bloodlines. Um, I don't think he'd qualify to be shown in M&M here, I'm pretty sure they need to be pure bred. There's plenty my daughter COULD do with him in the show ring though - first ridden, child handler, dress-up, and then a bit later on in his (and her) training they could do things like working hunter pony etc.

If you could find out more of his breeding and if the Welsh side of things was registered you could register him as PB Welsh. He reminds me of my daughter's pony before she totally greyed out.
The name I came up with just then was Silver SpLENdour - something different lol.

That's a good idea, but I'm not sure how helpful his owner would actually be - she thinks stuff like that is nonsense . What did your daughter's pony look like before she started greying out at all? I'll see if I can find the one I have of Lenny.

Thankyou for the name suggestion - that's exactly the type of thing I had in mind.

I've been toying with "Lensham Lad" or "Lenniston Lad". Lensham and Lenniston mean absolutely nothing, I just liked the sound, lol. What do you think?

ETA: I meant to say, I will definately try to find out more about Lenny's breeding though.
