Not saying it should be a higher amount either.....but seriously, what difference is $150.00 gonna really make?
For some people alot.

Maybe a general tax credit for pre-natal care or something...but specifically for still birth....I dunno.

It feels like a terrible consolation prize. It says "attach a copy of the stillbirth certificate; if you do'nt have one, call this number to get one"....gosh, its like sending in a rebate.

You don't get much more for having live children. But yes I know what you mean. It's like "Sorry you lost your child. Here's a $150, go buy something nice."I see where this seems really insensitive.

Exactly. I mean, I'm sure then INTENTION is good...but the way it comes off.....just.... wow...I would be SO hurt if I was a parent who lost a child and someone wanted to pay me $150.00 for my loss.

Well as a single parent who has lost a child and having been in college at the time I would have taken every dime I could get an been greatful. I can remember how hard that year was... walking to school and wishing I had the money ($12) for a monthly bus pass. I lived on $400/month. Even 20 something years ago it was hard.
