So you should use padding underneath the wrap for standing wraps but not for exercising wraps??
Should the standing bandages be the fleecy polo type or a diff material?

Yes - hence the name of them - Polo Fleece.

I cropped this pic of Astro so you can see his bandages close up.

Well...I understand what Cavalier is saying, but I can also understand not using padding as well.

Speaking from experience, I have a "bad" ankle; I had surgery on it from an injury and it still is a little weaker than the other even after several years. Usually it is fine, but sometimes weather changes or a lot of walking, etc. can cause it to basically partially give out. When that starts happening, I wear an ankle wrap: just a light, flexible bandage wrapped around my foot and ankle without any padding, etc. I can feel the difference in the ankle easily; the bandage alone gives me a good deal of support.

Jenna I think we just use different stuff (the narrower, slightly elastic bangages, right?) for exercise bandages, I know we use the polo wraps (not sure what we call them but it's not that) for stable bandages.

I've never seen a person have padding under a bandage? Human bandages usually go around joints to support them, or to prevent the swelling of an area (joint or otherwise). I don't think it really compares the same....

Tho in saying that the polo wraps DO go under the fetlock joint, so they provide some support to that joint by restricting it's extension, IMO.
