Wink Stencils

Has anyone here used those stencil designs for thier horses "bums", the ones that you brush water over to leave a design?

My roomate did once at a Halloween Fun Jumper show with her half arab. She used a black hairspray and it looked pretty neat.

Yuppie! I use one ocassionally (Made it myself) And I always get comments on how nice it looks. It's either that or I just shave the same pattern into the horse's butt That is pretty!

w/ the checker board pattern u dont shave it(at least to my understanding) u just brush sections of the hair the other way to give it a darker look. but ur horse has to be spiffy clean.

No no no! you do not shave the checker pattern! You brush all the hair in one direction, lay the pattern on their rump (or where ever you want the design, but it looks best there) and then gently brush in the opposite direction the hair naturally grows. You can lightly spray some hair spray to help keep it in place.
