Starved Paint.

About a month ago, my neighbor/ferrier told me about one of his clients have a "17 year old, 15.2-ish Paint gelding". He said that sand gnats bothered him, and so the horse would walk off any bit of food he got.

Well, he at finally got a number for us and we went to go pick him up. We haven't used our new truck to pull our little 2 pony/1 horse trailer, and had no idea that it was a leetle bit too small to pull it.

Anyway. We stuck to about 50 on the interstate and made a few people mad, but what ever, as long as we get the little guy home.

Well, we get to the owners house to find a little 15h 23 year old. We were told he was "a little ribby", but this goes beyond that.

She was feeding him as much as we feed our fat 5 y/o QH, and expecting him to gain weight.

Here's "Chief Redi", our new guy. It's taking me forever to load the pictures, so I'll have to do it one at a time.

Poor guy! He'll be stunning once he gets some weight on, though. He looks great besides being skinny and being 23--not that that's all that old, but he looks younger than that even in his skinny state.

Oh, trust me. He'll be fat and sassy in a few months.

He's such a character. Any time he walks by a door, he tries to open or close it. He's so loving, too.
