So what is your plan of action for feeding him. He sure is a nice looking old soul.

I'm glad you took him. I have a feeling that he's going to get fat.

3.5 lb's of Country Acres grain and 1 lb of sweet feed morning and night with 6 lb's of hay and pasture all day. Alfalfa hay and beet pulp here and there.

And, yes. He's going to be a chubby boy just like my other horses when I get done with him.

NIce save. He'll look sharp with good weight back on him.
Have a blood count done, just to make Sure being fed short is the only reason he looks like that.

Good on you for helping out this old guy. He will look a million bucks in a few months. Sounds like he is in the right hands now. Best wishes

Thanks. We're so anxious to ride him, but I'm not risking it yet. He hasn't been longed in 9 years, so that should keep me entertained until we get some weight on him. He hasn't been ridden in about 6 months.

He could definitely use some good ol' TLC! I can't wait to see what he looks like in a couple months; I bet he'll be stunning!
