![]() | Starting a rescue...
I was wondering, what all do you need to start a rescue? Ok so I've been thinking, we have tons of land here thats not being use and would like to start a rescue. I've already got some advice on advertising, asking for donations, and all that. But I would like to know more about the paperwork. What all is there to be done? How long will it take? Is there a fee? Thanks! ~Amber |

Wow, I've wanted to start a rescue for several years now, but I don't have the land nor the funds yet There will be a lot of paperwork involved, as well as vet calls/farrier calls, and it will take a lot of your time! I cannot be of more help, but if you contact rescues online, they may be able to help you more since they've been through it! Days End Farm Horse Rescue also has a book to helping people start a horse rescue (I think it's days end farm) and I think they ask $100 for it, as a contribution to their rescue. Hope that helps some |

Thank you! It's going to take me awhile because of getting more pastures fixed up, but as long as I get enough support and keep going at it I'll be able to pull through |

what I think you should do is of course pasture, barn and stalls with blankets and plenty of food and medication! of course there will be paperwork, and you should get people with vet experience or a person who is experienced who can teach people, and trainer type people! that should get you where you want to go, I'm sure there is more depth in it. right off the top of my head opinions |
