Talking Starbucks anyone?

bet you thought this was about coffee

For those who are unfamiliar with my family's struggle, for some time now, we have been trying to find our horse Starbucks in a loving home.

After moving on to eventing, we searched for a new horse and recently found him (Ty) in April.

After reviewing our finances, we were only able to squeeze money for one horse. As Starbucks is a racking horse-cross and is unsuitable for the eventing world, we were forced to come to the decision to sell him.

For whatever reason, we had gotten little in the way of replies to our ads which were posted on the internet, had a website with multiple videos and over 50 pictures, as well as ads in the local tack shops.

When coming back from vacation over the weekend, we had recieved a phone call from a man interested in Starbucks. He had talked incredibly fast, and even though we replayed the message literally 20 times, we were unable to get his phone number to call him back. Fortunatly he had left a clue.

He had mentioned that he had talked to our trainer, so we were able to call our trainer and get the man's name. Our trainer told us that he was a farrier at our barn, but did not know his number. We later had to call another person from our barn, who recommended another person to us who might have the phone number (if you are following this I truely commend you ).

Finally, we had gotten the man's phone number. Turns out the man is a farrier but also does Civil War reenactment movies for which he would like to use Starbucks in. Starbucks would be able to stay at our barn in the same stall and herd as well. Our trainer knows this man very well and knows that Starbucks would be able to grow old with him. The man takes incredibly good care of his horses, and has owned a racking horse with Starbucks' temperament before.

Please hold good thoughts that this will work out !
