i just adopted (today) a TB from a recsue place. they also have SB horses

they are located in ohio (2 locations) and adopt out to all over the place

Canter has some great horses, and if your in ohio or close by I might be able to get you in contact w/ some of the trainers at the tracks round here. I know Chip Noble's family and they can probably help w/ a good horse thats out of action.
