The barn that I am at has a Standardbred gelding for adotpion due to lack of time. The owners both work fulltime and have 3 of their own horses on the go between dressage and driving and would like this guy to go to a good home.
Dk bay, I do believe he is 4 - 5 yrs but will confirm on Sat with owners and get his registered name. 16 - 16.1 HH but will measure him on Sat for more accuracy. Farrier, UTD on shots, deworming. Teeth were just checked on Sat are are good.
He was at the track last year and wasn't fast enough. He was hooked up to a single cart last Friday for the first time in a year and did very well. Was fresh and had flash back to the track but settled in very nicely.
I see this guy everyday and is a gem. His vice is that if not worked, he does get bored and likes to take his shelter apart for something to do. ...lol
He does have very nice movement and I think with some training and daily working, would make a nice dressage or jumper prospect. He does have some get up and go so someone with experience with OT Standardbreds would be best or has a trainer experienced with OT Standies will work as well.
