Stallions

Hi ya'll- My friend who just bought one of my mares is considering breeding her next april for a 2005 foal that we will be training. Does anyone know of good QH or Appaloosa Stallions for stud? That is what she is looking for. They should have good conformation, a good calm temperment, the ability to go western as well as a bit of english, have a record of having willing to learn foals, and have a record of soundness in his lines.

However if the horse is related to Poco Beuno or Poco Tivio he must have been tested for Herda and come up as a negative carrier.

And if he is related to Impressive he must be HYPP N/N.

Thanks all!

Hmmm, well, if she was going to breed her next year, it would be for a 2006 baby I would check stallion station for stally's in your area, cut down on AI and shipping costs. I do know of a stallion, but he has not yet been proven and will prob throw more halter than performance. You could also check the app site, although, if you breed outside app's, (I am assuming this mare is AQHA??) then if you get a solid baby, you cannot register it with either assoc.

oh and no she hasnt really started looking yet because she wanted to discuss it with me before hand. Also there arent any qh or appy studs around in my area because well stallions arent allowed to leave the barn really in this town.
