Thumbs up Stallion with foal at side

OMG i gotta tell yall about my new stallion. he is a 8 year old quarter horse from the race trac with a 91 speed index. his name is Rail Doctor. well today we bred him to one of our mares that has a new baby. the stallion is ok with babies so we hand bred the mare with the baby with her to keep her calm, she goes nutz if the baby is not with her. well the baby ran over to the stallion and wanted to play. i thought OMG!!!! but the stallion forgot about the mare and started messing with the baby. that baby was all over him and he never made a bad move. it was sooooo cute. never have i seen a stallion with such a good disposition.....i think i will keep him for like......im gona try to get a pic of him with the baby and post it.

I bet that was too cute! Still, be careful with the baby around the stallion. They are tempermental, no matter how he seems with the baby, you never know.

Every time our mares would foal, our stallion, would whinny and carry on so we would go to the barn,to see what was happening, he would stand there and watch his baby being born, talk about a proud papa, he wouldn't take his eyes off of it, but when he did,he would look at us then back to the baby,as if to say, isn't it gorgeous, thats my baby.

very sweet. when we were covering our mare with the foal at foot the baby was all over him and he just stood their and fortgot about the mare lol all he did was grunted when the baby was eating his nose. I think our foal knows hes daddy because she shows of when hes watching and will keep going back round the corner to have another look lol.

Some years our stallion lives with his babies. He came from a herd environment, and is happy in that environment. He lives with the bred mares and the foals by their side.
