Spook's First Trim

I don't have any pics of the trim due to me having to hold Spook and hubby had to mind Raleigh. I must say I'm impressed with him. Spook is generally a very flighty pony and even though he was a little nervous today he did very well for the farrier.

He stood well for the most part and didn't attempt to kick out. He was good with the banging of tools (farrier just clapped the hoof trimmers and rasp together to get him used to it) and wasn't fazed by the trimming or rasping.

To think that a few months ago I wouldn't have even attempted it. I'm so proud of my boy

Yay spooky and you. I had faith in the training you have been doing and knew it would all be good.

We also had a tying up lesson yesterday afternoon. Needless to say once he was tied he just stood there. No pulling back or resistance. He really does suprise me some days.

EDIT:- My farrier also thought he'd be much worse than he was. I did warn him that Spook lived up to his name. My farrier said he doesn't mind the flighty ones, its the kicky bitey ones he don't like
