Splash QH stallion... (interesting)

Check out the splash on this guy:
http://www.myhorseforsale.com/quarter-horse-stallion-at-stud/hot-smokin-chex/

The second shot you can see his blue eye pretty clearly. His blaze is classic of splash anyhow.

Anyway... What I find interesting is his breeding. He is a full brother to Snip O Chex! Snip O Chex is the dam of Guns and White Roses. Sooooo... What I am getting at is that Gunner may have not been the only one contributing to that deafness and two blue eyes she's got going on. Furthermore... she could potentially be a homozygous splash. I doubt she'll ever be bred, but it would certainly be interesting.

Of course his being a full to her doesn't mean she has it... but she certainly looks like she could. (Also note there is a new photo of the mare up... one showing a nice, level back. Interesting.):

I just thought it was interesting...

I have always thought that Guns and White Roses was not a max sabino but a splash white.. And Snip o Chex is the picture next to the definition of bottom heavy blaze. There is no top lmao

I've never seen a splash white cover EVERYTHING... but it is possible I suppose.

I always suspected Snip O Chex might be splash, but she could have easily been just sabino.

Me either but how many do you think could have possibly been registered as gray or white or cremello or some other random color by people not knowing what it is?

I never did suspect Snip o Chex until I really started getting into splash but now I do.
