Southern California Palomino Colt

My friend Crystal and her fiance Scott rescued a GORGEOUS palomino colt! He's 4 and broke to death! They were hoping to do western pleasure on him, but the former owner demanded money or the horse back in like two weeks! So, of course, they don't wanna give Charger back, so are selling him for $2500! Does anyone want a horse? He is the swetest little guy, loves to learn and WELL trained! He'd be good for western pleasure! He's about 15.3 hands by the way, a gelding!

Do they not own the horse? Did they just take him to rescue him?

If they did... then they need to give the horse back (as much as that would suck) or pay for him NOW. If they just took the horse, their owner could press theft charges, and that would be bad.

If they own the horse already... then no problems. Do they have a bill of sale on him?

Do they have documentation that the guy said that they could take him??? Or was it just word of mouth?

"Rescued" & "demanded money" doesn't sound like they have a right to sell this horse let alone have the horse in their possession. "the guy said they could take him then changed his mind" Was anything written down, like a contract or bill of sale.

Why sell him? Why are they now trying to make some cash off this horse?
