i was just talking to someone else and she says theres a good chance the filly is a chocolate taffy with a lighter tail and mane than usual

I did not mean that champagne and silver dapple were the same gene. I meant that they had to be present in a parent to produce a same color foal. For example if you have two non champagne horses, you cannot get a champagne foal.
First day on this forum and will definitely be the last day. I have way better things to do then re explain myself because no one wants to read what I typed.

Silver dapple and taffy are a completely different gene. It hides on red so it would have come from the dam if it came from someone. If the foal is a palomino then the cream came from dad as cream hides on black. If the foal started out like a palomino, it's not a silver dapple/taffy and the cream came from dad.
