Someone help these horses.....

These horses are not mine. I found them just seeing what's on the market online. They are VERY THIN, and needs a good home, one that will fatten them up, and give them th emedical attention they obviously need.

Does anyone live near by that they could help these horses?? I live 4 hours away from them and even at that I don't have the money or time for horses in such a state as these are.

Wow, they're advertising those poor things as broodmares? I wish I lived in Texas...I would be rallying people to save those poor girls.

I've been calling rescue groups etc. But most of them are already full at this time. And if I had a lot of extra time and money I'd scoop them up myself. Mind you, they wouldn't be breeding though =/

I can't even imagine why anyone would consider advertising that they thought those mares were in condition to be 'broodmares' I couldn't believe that was even written on those ads. And the guy wants 700 for one and 600 for the other? I can't imagine anyone is going to want to pay that for them...though I would do it if it was the only way I could get my hands on them.

One of the the mares faces, looks like she fell, or scraped it on something?? Possible signs of abuse?? I'm not pointing fingers. Maybe the dude bought them from an auction recently ands looking to sell them but for that kind of money??

She doesn't look that bad to me. She's a little ribby, but, not the bag of bones I was expecting. She's a 16yo broodmare, are you expecting muscles galore? Aside from ribs, she looks pretty decent--no hip bones sticking out, no spine sticking up.

Rae, you obviously haven't looked at the other mare.

And no I don't imagine muscles galore but she could be taken care of in MUCH better condition.

He seems to have taken the other mare off. But I swear on the other mare you could count every rib, hip, back bone, shoulder bone in her body!!!
