| Senior Member+ | Some pics of Tex working cattle
And Brahmans at that!!! This was this past Friday, about 7am. I just let Charles (trainer) ride him because of the heat and because he works horses all night and goes to sleep about 7:30am, so I didn't want to hold him up any longer Some of you may have heard the term "working in the round". This is working in the round. The herd of cattle are kept in the middle of the pen and the cow is worked all the way around the pen. I was the "turnback" on my two feet and I was cameraman so I was kind of having a hard time trying to avoid crazy Brahams. ![]() The advantage of working in the round is that one person can do it alone and there are no corners for the cow to get hung up in (kind of like working a horse in a round pen). Look at these HILARIOUSLY LOOOOOOOOOOOONG EARS ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry for the "butt shot" LOL!! |

LOL, trying to "one up me" with the long ears, LOL! Love Tex! Knew that was him on the top of the page. Is it still 106 there?

| Senior Member+ | Are you referring to the short stirrups? Most cutters ride that way. They also ride with a slump or slouch.
