They sure will give a cow an awful headache When they grow too close, we have to chute them and tip the horns back (saw them back out of the face). Usually, you only have to do it twice in a normal cows life. You don't want to take it far back, just cut off about 4 or 5 inches. And MAN do those big horns bleed, you have to cauterize them or the cow can bleed out as there is a main artery in the horn unless she's a floppy horned cow.

I really, really believe you ride cuttin horses!!!!! However, what I really dont beleive is that you only have one cuttin horse to ride. Every cutter needs two cuttin horses. So could you explain that one to me? Huh, huh???

I imagine they do bleed! Probably some people "forget" about those horns and allow them to grow into their heads, huh?
