Some horses are easier then the others!!

I am weird. I don't play favorites. I love my three boys and all the many other horses I'm with, but I find it easier to Scold some horses for doing the wrong thing then others.

For instants: If my big OTTB, George was to, lets say, Break into the feed shed and steal feed, i'd go up, and find it really difficult to yell at him and push him back. I obviously do push him back and yell at him, BUT i find it alot easier to yell and push my quarter horse back if he were doing the same thing. It's not that i love George more then Rebel ( QH), it's just that it's easier to be angry with rebel. I guess it's because Rebel has a history of piggy behaviour. I dont know.

It's also very difficult to be angry with my old pony. I love them all to bits, but some horses are just way easier to be angry with then others.

I always do the right thing and "disapline" any horse that does the wrong thing, but, you know, some horses are way harder to be angry with. I just feel bad! haha.

I guess it's just their nature. I guess because Rebel has such a pigger Nature, part of me realizes a part of rebel is delibrately doing it to annoy me.

Anyway, This will probably start a huge "friendly debate!" What do you all think? Do you/have you ever had problems like this?

I wouldn't see that as a problem, persay. Discipline for a horse should be given in a very matter-of-fact manner, no matter which horse it is... anger should not, for the most part, come into the picture at all.

Anger just makes you irrational and sometimes mean. It's not an emotion I find to be useful around horses at all. Just be straight-forward in your discipline and then move on as if nothing had happened.
