Soft, silky forelock?

Hey everyone! My pony has a VERY poofy forelock, and I was just wondering if there's any way to make it lie down a bit, and soften up. It's kind of "coarse", and just 100% fly away. Actually, I think it's kind of cute being all puffy, but I was just wondering if there is any way to tame it down
Here's a picture:

THANK YOU!

I don't know if there is. Kind of genetic. . .
Maybe coconut oil or Megatek?

It is adorable though, I love Rain.

Maybe I'll try coconut oil, I've heard it does wonders. =) Anyone know where to buy it?

Awww, thanks. I love Rain too! *grins*

I get mine at Wal-Mart. They have two kinds, one in the supplements and one in cooking. I buy a big tub cheaply in the cooking section, by Lou-Ana I believe. I used the little supplement one before I found it, they work the same.

Thanks for letting me know! Our Wal Mart always seems sadly lacking in about everything, but I will look, definitely! Ok, now just to remember...... (I'm like, FAMOUS for forgetting stuff, and then I like get home and slap my forehead and go: "Man, how did I forget THAT!?". ) Maybe I should write it on my forehead. That way somebody else can tell me if I'm missing something.

LOL, that might be an idea. I'm a list and planner girl, otherwise I'd be right there with you.

Oh you're lucky. My brain just isn't wired that way.... to make lists and stuff. Maybe I should be more disciplined......

Aww, thanks. I think she's cute too, but that's just my biased view.

I love Rain - she's so cute!

The only thing that worked for Smartie's thick poofy forelock was... length! It went from this

to this

Still just as thick, but the sheer weight of the added length holds it down more, haha.

length? But how did you get it to GROW?? I've only cut Rain's forelock once, and that was at least a year ago.... It's grown back to what it was before I cut it, and then it just..... stopped growing, or something. I think she's destined to have a short, poofy forelock. =)
