Looks like she's coming around. It's always hard to see the difference when your with them everyday. I can see a change in her flank and hips. Her coat seems shinier and to me, that's always a good sign. Have you figured out what's going on with her eye yet?

Geezzz it's hard to tell from pics. Maybe 150 ish lbs maybe it's honestly hard to tell without seeing her in person. Shes tall right? TB 16 ish hands. Whatcha feeding her? I like mine plump going into winter. Everyone is different some like the lean look which TB's tend to look more leaner then a QH. I like to have the weight that they can spare if they get sick or ect. It took me 2 yrs to get Studly's weight back to par after he came down with WNV then 6 months later the B strangles. Thats my personally reasoning.

she is a QH and she is 16.2! i was surprised..i measured her today...

Here is what she is on right now:

Morning feeding:
1 cup rice ran
1 cup BOSS
1 cup of sweet feed (for flavor)
1 cup of Purina Enrich 32
1/2 cup of oil
dash of salt

then she is let out in the field to graze all day

then her evening feeding:
1 cup of rice brand
1 cup of BOSS
1 cup of sweet feed
2 cups of Purina Enrich 32
1 cup of oil
dash of salt

and then she also gets 20lb. of 70% alfalfa 30% grass and usually free feed grass during the times she is in her stall.

Does this sound right?

Her diet looks good. May I suggest that you up the Enrich 32 to 4C per day? Also, I think she needs some more rice bran. Do you have a scale to weigh it? I feed my hard keeper (QH 15.1HH) 4 C Enrich 32 and rice bran. I can't remember the weight exactly (it's the recommended amount on the bag) but I know it's more than 2C. Seems to me it's more like 4 or 5 C of rice bran.

Anyway, she's looking great!! Keep up the good work!

You don't want to add more Enrich 32 with 20 lbs of 70% alfalfa 20% grass hay. The diet looks good. You could safely add more rice bran or add beet pulp. Minus the sweet feed!

thank-you both for your advice! how much more rice bran would you suggest bettybootsy? i don't really want to use beet pulp right now...and you would nix the sweet feed all together it is her favorite part...lol
