So a buyer is coming to try Kayle today.....

I'm not very excited about it, either.
Really, I'm actually rather upset about it because I'm having mixed emotions about the whole thing.
My parents aren't being very compassionate; actually, they're confusing the heck out of me. But whatever.

I mean, I guess I HAVE to sell him this fall, anyways, so why not do it now?

Is it normal to second guess your decision like this?

I didn't know you were putting him up. I'm sorry.

And in answer to your question, of course it's normal to second guess yourself here. It's b/c your mind is saying yes, and your heart is saying no.

Yeah....I mean, I know him like the back of my hand, and it's hard to imagine someone else taking him and not knowing his quirks. And what if they get frustrated with him and are mean to him?
I'm very overprotective, aren't I?

Awh, well I guess everything goes okay. If they like him and you like them, that's good, right? You'd know he was going to a good home.

If they come and you don't like the way they treat him, don't sell him to them. YOU hold ALL the cards, here.
Good luck, Kayle's a great boy. I'm sure he'll find a good home.

yes, worrying is not abnormal and neither is second guessing! That just means you take this responsibility serious and you are trying to do whats right by him.

I didn't know you were selling him either... I'm so sorry!
You're allowed to be overprotective and second guess...

Thanks, guys.

So she really liked him. She's a 12 year old girl who's shown Arab H/S and wants to get into eventing.
I'm totally down the middle, here.
On one hand, I like the fact she's gentle with him, and that he really seemed to like her (he's very particular about who he likes and who he dislikes).
On the other hand, she's very petite and had trouble getting him forward and keeping him there.

It pained me to see him run around on a slack rein, with his nose all over, when I've put so much dressage training on him.

I have no idea what to do.
