HaHa I actually looked at his dam before even posting this here and then competely forgot that they had posted it wen I was posting this.

I think she could be but none of his foals appear to be creme.

Pretty mare what you could see of her... Why could she not be a very dark buckskin? Not all creme gene'd horses are classic in color. One must consider unless the dam has been genetically tested, or else this stallion himself.

The only reason I don't see why he could not be palomino is because he appears red gene all over. From the base of his tail to the lack of different coloration in the legs. His darkened mane is easily possible in palomino's... owning one myself. However it is just as easily possible that he is a nothing more than a chestnut who happens to have a greyed/silver mane... That occurs easily too. I didn't look through Osilvis's foals if available to see if he has classic creme colored foal out of a non-creme mare anywhere.

Well found HER sire
http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/nimmerdor3
Appears to be bay. No creme apparent there.
Now to find her dam. That will be fun.

After looking through all of his foal's photo's I'd say this stallion is Chestnut. If you look at his filly Portia.. she is a chestnut, but notice her darker mane and tail. There is something going on with this stallion's mane and tail genetics. I don't know of any study on flaxen or the gene's that change the pigment in manes and tails so I'm no help here at all. The colt that you mentioned may be silver has chestnut colored legs.

Her mane is light (most likely flaxen) Her tail appears to be light. You can see it on the top and the botton in the picture of just her. I beleive the darkness is shadow or bad picture lighting. you can see in the photo of her and Pepe that her til is not that dark.

Also his main and tail are not a flaxen color but more of a gray. Its not the creamy color that flaxen usually is.

Simply a chestnut. I have met many chestnut Thoroughbreds that look just like this.

Phenotype had me thinking nothing mroe than chestnut, and looking through his family... no way. Simply chestnut.

I agree with ACC. He also isn't producing a single dilute foal yet... I find that quite odd for a stallion who may be palomino to not once so far throw that creme gene. He is cool, I do say that. But still chestnut with a funky mane.

Yep, the more I look at him the more I see a shade of liver. Maybe it's flaxen at work in a subtle way.

Well he's got those light legs that seem to go hand in hand with a liver and like Bodi said, no dilute babies. This is a Thoroughbred mare out of a plain chestnut and a plain bay:

Sometimes her coat is much darker and much more livery, but her mane is always silvery:

And here you can see her odd tail and her more livery looking bum:
