kay so my sisters old rottweiler bit a little boy about 2-3 years ago, she didnt break his skin but because she was living with two little girls, and the vet said once they bite once they have a higher chance of biting again and my sister didnt wanna take that chance with her little girls (i dont agree with it) they decided to humanely euthanize her, and after they did i believe they realised they made the wrong choice, but what ever, i loved this dog like my own, i used to go over there and sit on my sisters steps and she would run over, put her paws on my shoulders, push me down on my back, and lay ontop of me and just lay there., i loved her and when ifound out i was bawling. i wrote a poem for her, because it was a project for class we had to write a poem about just anything so i chose this, i wil give you the rest of the story after the poem, please no comments on how my sister doesnt deserve to own a rotti (i got this on the dog forum). ok here goes, it brought my teacher to tears.

SILKY EAR TEARS
You walk me with your hand on my head
I can feel it shaking
I didn't know it was just leaves he was throwing
I didn't break the skin
but you say it could happen again
We are in the bright white room
and you sit with my head on your lap
I look into you eyes and see them filled with tears
a man walks in and i bare my teeth
i can sense you are scared
The man comes close and you stroke me to calm me down
I have heard you whisper "i'm sorry" the whole way walk here
and now i understand why
a warm tear drops on to my soft, silky ear
i look up and lick another off your cheek
I feel a prick and hear you whisper "i'm sorry" once more
you tell me you love and and give me one last kiss on the head
now i am gone, and i am sorry

now the story of what happened. my sister and her two daughters were playing outside in her front yard with some kids from across the front yard. they were playing in the leaves and the little boy threw some leaves at my neice. rain (the dog) ran at the little boy and nipped the dog. i cant believe it happened. i was in tears reading this again. please let me know what you think of this poem.
