Post SHOW TOMORROW..... PLEASE GIVE ME SOME GROOMING TIPS!!!!

Hi i've got a show tomorrow and my horse has to be immaculately turned out. fortunatley she's black, but she had white socks. has anyone got any tips on cleaning white legs and making manes and tails look nice? i will be plaiting her mane and tail so they need to be tangle-free!!!! please help me!!!!! any tips at all would be great!

for the tail, try first getting everything out of it then spray it with a lot of show sheen. that helps to get out tangles and when you comb through it it will get them out without puling out the hairs. then when your are done getting it tangle free spray it again. (if it looks to matted with spray just use a hard body brush gently on it to "liven it up")

Do you clip your horse???

What type of showing do you do???

There is a whitening shampoo that you can use to enhance your white horses... I use it on my geldings white foot.

no shez not clipped- i do show jumping and the tack and turout is really strict in my class.

my pony have 4 socks and before a show we shave her sock till there is allmost non left then we but baby powder on them but if you dont wont to clip then the baby powder works grat by it self

COrn starch for the white

I got a "toothed" hair brush (plastic teeth) and brush my horse's mane and tail. It looks TEN TIMES better than anything else I've tried.

thanx guys. i went to the show and she looked brilliant! i plaited her mane and tail, and i washed her legs and put white chalk on her white bits. we did really well and we got two clear rounds!!!!!! i was soooo happy coz it was her first show!!!! lol
