Hi i'm showing my dun connemara gelding i have on loan on sunday and wonder what i could do to make him stand out from the rest and get above 6th place.

He's getting bathed and mane + forelock plaited on saturday night and his tail plaited on sunday morning but i wanted to know what else i could do.
I'm not aloud to trim his ears/whiskers so what else could i do?

If you want pics to look at him the earliest i can get them is thurs and up here on thurs night.

I KNOW THIS BIT SHOULD BE IN TRAINING BUT DON'T WANT TO DO 2 THREADS.
Also what can i do to stop him being strong in the ring and kicking other horses? He's ridden in a straight bar rubber snaffle bit. And how can i get him to circle better in canter without trying to break back into trot?
