Show Results- My first show! pics

We came home with a......

PINK ribbon. 5th place- out of..... FIVE.

Regal did awesome but I was on the wrong diagonal almost the entire time.

In dressage there is no "right" diagonal, so it's just something my trainer's never really worked with me on yet. (in lieu of hours and hours of sitting trot

) Now I guess we will.

Regardless it was FUN. And pink is my favorite color, after all! He actually was phenomenal- not so much me.

He was really working well and really turning heads in the warm up ring. - And offered an awesome, quiet, collected canter on his left (bad) lead while I was riding him in there (and that alone would have almost made the day worth it.)

There were three of us showing from our stable and one of the other ladies, it was her FIRST show too, so it was good to have someone else to be really, really nervous with. And my trainer was there and one of his students who is a trainer in her own right- and neither was riding in the show- so we had a nice groom and coaching staff.

Anyway, we got last but I totaly had a BLAST and this circuit actually has one more show in three weeks so we're going to take another run at it then.

Please don't crique me in these pics! This was warmup so I was untucked and Regal was still tail wrapped.

awwee!! congrats!! my first show i didnt even place!!! so kudos to you!! regal still looks good!! (as do you)

Awesome!!! Good Job! The whole point of a show (IMO) is to have fun! So you guys did your gob.

just wondering tho...is it safe to tie the tail up that high?? i thought wrapping a tail above the bone cut off circulation?? i might be wrong

no its fine to wrap it that high, just to keep the tail neet, alot of dressage riders do that!
