You wont find me saying this much, but lighten up your heel---you are bracing and pushing it down.
For critiquing your mare, she is overjumping, so if she tucked up her legs, she wouldn't have to jump as high She also could soften up in the poll. Just because you are jumping her (although I see two of them are flat pics), doesn't mean she shouldn't be soft at the poll.
Looks like you had a good time

In hand class~

eyes/chin up
hold a loop in your reins
smile, show your horse off at all times

Jumping~

open your pelvis up, you gripping with your knees and jumping ahead.
your release is good, your looking ahead.

Flat~

bring your heels/lower leg back. It appears that you are pushing them forward and bracing w/your legs.

I also suspect this had to do with the horses headset... if your legs were back, you may have been able to push him into a frame.

i will critique the jumping photo as i would feel a hypocrite if i were to critique your flatwork when mine is far from perfect though we all know how to read a text book, if only it were that simple!!!

well, you seem to have stood up in the stirrups and tipped forward. thus allowing your lower leg security to slip , making you vulnerable to an insecure landing... i cannot see this so i cannot comment.. but however you are giving well with your hands, but you are resting on the neck suggesting that you are using them for support which would, on landing make you come back hard on your horses mouth, unles syou were to have let them slip, again i cannot see this part of the jump so i cannot comment, but i can however say what i see and make suggestions and or assumptions from that- i am sorry if i am incorrect in what i am saying..
you are looking ahead which is good and your horse looks to be jumping with confidence and looks very bold with alot of scope- could go far...

overall a nice partnership will go far...

Hey, I will only critique the jumping photo also because that is kind of my forte. I am not very good at flat nor do I like it, but anyway. I think that your picture is really good. I agree with showjumper that you are tilting your upperbody to far forward which then makes your leg slip back. If you sit up a bit and lean back just a bit then your leg will come forward. You are also resting your hands on your horses neck. Lift them up a bit and you will be able to get a better release and will have more control. Well, I hope this helped~

In the third photo you toe is sticking out instead of in and that heel needs to come down just a tad! In the jumping photo your back needs to be flat, it looks a bit rounded! In the last one in the third row your stirrup is too far back, it looks like it's at the middle of your boot, it should rest at ball of you foot!
That's just what I seen and hope it helps!
