Hello, I am looking into breeding to an English Pleasure Arabian or a Hackney!

If I was looking into an Arab stallion I would breed to one of Megs' stallions for sure. Not only do they produce good looking babies who do well in-hand, they're definately proving themselves as performance horses as well. Just curious... are you looking for a Hackney horse or a Hackney pony? I really don't know any hackney studs... just the horses that I like

If you're looking to breed a 1/2 Arab English Pleasure horse, I would actually look at the Spotted Saddlebred Monaco. He is AMAZING! There's actually a video of a NSH mare by him... it will take your breath away. He has an amazing trot (naturally above level!) and, from what I hear, personality to die for and a whole lotta heart. *LOL* I know... I'm in LOVE with Monaco and his babies *lol* When I watched that video it just took my breath away - she's one talented girl... now I just need to get a mare to breed to him and I'll be all set

Thanks Sandra! I am in the middle of buying an EP or Strong CEP mare. I am waiting for 6 videos to come this week I cant wait!!!!!! I have 2 in there that I really like I hope I like what I see on the videos.

Yes I love Hallmark to Megs! but lately a couple other arab breeders in the US have told me that they would never breed to a hackney and that its not a good cross and not worth very much......... Makes me a little nervous now.

how would you get a horse to step high like that? i know they have a natural gait, but surely must have to train to get the horse too move like that. Looks very uncomfortable to ride to.
